Meet Jacque

Hello!

Hi, I’m Jacque Shaw, an Arizona artist with a love for charcoal, storytelling, and the quiet beauty found in ordinary moments.

I first fell in love with charcoal at twelve years old while attending a college-level art class in Dallas. I was drawn to it immediately — the softness, the contrast, and the way it allows both strength and imperfection to live on the page. It has remained one of my favorite mediums ever since.

Like many women, my creative life took a quieter place for a season while I paused to raise my four children and pour myself into family. But art never left me. It waited patiently in the background until I was ready to return.

Now, I create with a deeper sense of gratitude, purpose, and life experience. Whether I’m working on a charcoal piece or writing a story, I’m drawn to themes that invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and feel something personal.

Thank you for being here. My hope is that my work feels honest, meaningful, and familiar — like something you may have felt before but couldn’t quite put into words.
